Jerk Hut in Tampa

1st time there, we live in Winter Haven, FL., and had to drive 46 miles to Tampa to try and find some good Jamaican food... Food was delicious and the service was excellent... We will be taking that 46mi drive again soon...

Whadda yah mean? It's de hut! The red sauce is Supreme. And where is the juice man? Pineapple/ginger juice is out. Mi sure him soon come.

Food was great, there is a need to update and clean outdoor seating because of social distancing, also measures need to be addressed to prevent flies from swarming during outdoor dining.

All menu items are delicious. My favorites are mac & cheese, signature wings and red stripe reggae ribs. Ummmmm!

This was an amazing experience on a Sunday afternoon. The food was awesome, buffet style and there was live reggae music. I actually went to a birthday party there that day. Every food item I tried was delectable. Real authentic Jamaican food. Can't wait to go back👍👌.

The food was insanely delicious. The people were nice as well. Some of the buss boys were very very nice. Would rather them be the waiters than some of the actual waiters. But over all. Amazing food and decent service. 5 stars for the food, 3.5 for the service. And they have a bar which is nice.

I expect my oxtails to have more flavor the cabbage rice and mac and cheese was good.

White people dont be scared, the food is delicious. The chicken, rice and beans cabbage with fresh drinks! So good ! Not your typical can food spot. Owner Andrew is always friendly!

Love the food!! It’s not too many Jamaican spots that has Pork on the menu. I was surprised and don’t know why it took me so long to try this place...OMG the Jerk Pork it’s so tender and juicy, I love it. This we’ll be my forever go to spot for jerk pork.

I wanted some conch salad and tried to call before I took the drive (in which its not close) A friend of mine told me that they sold conch salad so I wanted to get it from there.The phone remained unanswered held on for 30 minutes. I had never been there before so this was my first experience. I decided to drive there(I guess I could say I wanted it real bad)Got there and they didn't have conch salad so for the drive I said ok do you have curry goat they said they don't have any curry goat, chicken and some other things they were missing it was a total waste of my time on the phone and driving there and the girl at the podium wasn't courteous either with all the ruckus going on at least be nice to people geesh.

I must say. This is a must go place when visiting Tampa, FL. I have been here numerous times. The customer service is good, I just think they need better busboys to turnover the tables quicker and cleaner. Luckily, my sweetie and I are patient and understood they were very busy and asked if we could have another table. As for the food...Delicious!!! We had brown stew chicken, beans and rice, cabbage, and mac and cheese (Amazing). We were so hungry we forgot to take pics. Lastly, our Jamaican Iced Tea alcoholic beverages were nice and gave us a nice buzz!I highly recommend!

Among a pandemic and the summer heat... I was able to get an amazing plate of food. Yes the wait time was long but alot shorter then the lines we were dealing with a couple month ago just for toilet paper.Thank you Jerk Hut for always coming through with amazing food and flavors. Delicious and as always on point.

I should've known it wouldn't be truly authentic Jamaican food when I saw they serve rice and beans instead of coconut rice and peas with their plates. It was OK but definitely white washed. The goat was alright just bland. The rice and beans barely tasted like anything. If you tried to bring that mac n cheese to Thanksgiving you'd be roasted. It was tasted like tap water and Velveeta. They forgot my beef patties so I can't rate those. Come to Boston, MA. We have real Jamaican food.
